April 15, 1953 - Eddie Levendusky and Dick Dotter both gain a pair of wins to help Lehighton's track team roll to an 87-8 Lehigh Valley League win over Northampton. Levendusky captures the 100 and 220, while Dotter claims the 880 and mile. Levendusky is also part of the winning four-fifth mile relay team that sets a new school record with a time of 2:41.6. Other winners for the Indians include LaMar Semmel (pole vault), Danny Frank (shot put), Bob Hill (discus), Lloyd Mengel (400), Don Sheckler (high jump) and Denny Roth (broad jump).
