What's in your Easter Basket?

This Sunday as families gather for the Easter holiday to enjoy an afternoon of egg hunt and bunny photos, Easter baskets will be doled out to family members young and old.

In a recent survey conducted by Kerry Sherin, shopping and savings expert at Offers.com, it is estimated that in the United States families will spend an average of $53 per person for the springtime holiday.The Easter Egg Hunt topped the list of favorite activities for the holiday followed by attending church, making and giving Easter Basket, dying eggs, and posing with the big eared Easter bunny for a photo.Nearly 30 percent of the commonwealth that was surveyed said making and giving the sugar and trinket filled baskets was the favored tradition. The biggest basket filler is candy followed by crayons, movies passes and books, cash and coins came in third while healthy snacks followed. Clothing for an Easter gift was near the bottom of the list along with jewelry.In Pennsylvania, the research concluded the most purchased candy for this Sunday is Reese's Peanut Butter Eggs followed by Jelly Beans, the iconic chocolate bunny, Cadbury eggs and Peeps.
