Palmerton Police Department continues to investigate a burglary that occurred at the Dunkin' Donuts store early Wednesday morning.

Borough police Chief Randy Smith said the incident occurred at 1:34 a.m., as was discovered by an employee who arrived for work at 3:53 a.m.Smith said a suspect entered the front door and pried open both cash registers, before leaving with an undetermined amount of cash.He said police do have a person of interest, but the matter remains under investigation.Smith said anyone with information should contact the police department at 610-826-4055.
