The Tamaqua Community Volunteers are renewing the popular community giveaway, where people donate items for others to use, all in the same day.

The first eventwill be held April 29 at the M and M Storage Facility on Rose Street. Donations will be accepted between 8 and 9 a.m., with the giveaway scheduled to begin at 9:15 a.m.Donations of clothing, toys, tools, electronics, holiday decorations, pots/pans/dishes, cookware, furniture and appliances will be accepted. Old computer monitors and floor-model televisions will not be accepted.Volunteersare not able to pick up or store donations.Anyone living within the 18252 ZIP code is eligible to receive donations and is encouraged to be there by 9 a.m. All items will then be given away, free, via a simple drawing.In case of rain or chance of rain, the event will be moved toApril 30.For more information, visit the event on Facebook or call 570-668-1234.
