A Schuylkill County couple, whose 22-month-old daughter ingested a bag of methamphetamine, have been charged and jailed.

State police at Schuylkill Haven said Leanne Popp, 24, and John Kemmerer, 26, ofAuburn, Wayne Township, were arrested on Tuesday on charges of aggravated and simple assault, endangering the welfare of children and drug charges.On Sunday at 9:36 a.m., troopers responded to the couple's home and learned that the child found a bag of meth and ingested it.The child was flown by medical helicopter to the Lehigh Valley Hospital, Cedar Crest.Troopers said Popp was taken into custody at the hospital Tuesday while Kemmerer was later located and arrested.Both were arraigned before District Judge David Rossi of Tremont, and committed to the county prison in Pottsville after failing to post $25,000 straight cash bail each.
