Blue Mountain Health System is hosting a bariatric health fairtoday. The fair will run from 5 to 7 p.m. in the third-floor conference room at Palmerton Hospital.

Morbid obesity can lead to life-threatening conditions including: high blood pressure, diabetes, high cholesterol, heart disease and sleep apnea. It can also affect a person's ability to walk.The fair will have information about surgical solutions to weight loss at BMHS, as well as recipes and an opportunity to meet the bariatric team. There will also be a cooking demonstration and blood pressure screenings.The fair is free. No registration is required.
