Several people were injured Friday evening when involved in a crash in West Penn township.

The crash occurred at 6:15 p.m. at the intersection of Route 309 and Pine Hill Road involving a car and a sport utility vehicle.

The injured were treated at the scene by members of the Penn Mahoning ambulance. Route 309 was closed for over an hour.

West Penn township police are investigating the incident.
