Walker Township has filled a vacancy on its zoning hearing board.

The township's board of supervisors on Thursday unanimously agreed to appoint David Bensinger to the zoning board vacancy.Before the vote, Supervisor Christine Troxell said there were "two very good candidates."Bensinger will serve the remainder of Bruce Leiby's term, which will run to the end of 2019.Afterward, supervisors appointed the other candidate for the zoning hearing board, Brandon Koch, to the position of vacancy board.OtherIn other business, supervisors:• Approved the SECV franchise agreement with Service Electric. The agreement is for 10 years, and calls for a 5 percent franchise fee it pays the township for reimbursement of having the cable lines run through the township.• Approved the 457 (b) plan to be set in place for employees of the township. Any employee, including supervisors, can elect to contribute to the plan, but the township will only match 3 percent toward the full-time employees contribution.• Adopted the township's new Subdivision and Land Development Ordinance fees.• Approved a resolution to move the M & T account (fire tax fund) to the PLIGIT account so that not to incur any fees.• Adopted a resolution related to the disposition of old records.
