Parents plan for Tamaqua Fifth Grade Dance

Parents of fifth-grade students in the Tamaqua Elementary School are finalizing plans for the Fifth Grade Dance.

The dance is for fifth-grade students only, signaling the end to their elementary school days. It will be held from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. on May 19 in the Tamaqua Elementary School gym.The dance is not a formal affair, so casual clothing is appropriate.Each classroom has been assigned specific items for parents to donate: Mrs. Manbeck, small bottles of water; Mrs. Berezwick, CapriSun drinks: Mrs. Setser, napkins and cups; Mrs. Nicholas, small bottles of soda, but no Mountain Dew; Mr. Peters, paper plates and plastic spoons. Items may be sent to school with the students, or dropped off at the school from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. on April 28.Chaperones are also needed. You must be a member of the Tamaqua Elementary Parent Teacher Organization and have criminal clearances to be a chaperone.Help is also needed to craft decorations and props.
