Towamensing Township's board of supervisors approved an invitation to Lower Towamensing Township to join its Agricultural Security Board at Thursday's meeting.

Chairwoman Penny Kleintop and secretary Roy Christman brought up the fact that not every neighboring municipality had an active Agricultural Security Board of their own."It's my understanding that Lower Towamensing does, but they've been inactive for years," Kleintop said.Christman composed a letter of invitation to the Lower Towamensing supervisors."We would like to offer them, that they could offer their residents to come to us if any of them want to put their properties into Ag Security," Kleintop said.
