Joy Miller, a volunteer with Dream Come True, Blue Ridge Chapter, looks over some of the dresses that were available at Wednesday's prom and wedding dress sale at Penn's Peak. This was the ninth year for the event, which has raised over $15,000 for the local Dream Come True chapter. "We really rely on the community to donate their dresses," said organizer Julianne Brixus, marketing and public relations coordinator at Blue Ridge Communications. "It's a great opportunity for Dream Come True and also for anyone who's looking to not spend a ton of money on a dress." The local chapter currently has six dreams in the making.
