Jane Martin celebrated her 100th birthday in style on Monday afternoon, surrounded by a wealth of friends and family at Mrs. Bush's Personal Care Home.

Martin, who was born in Charleston, South Carolina, has had a love for the outdoors for her entire life. Her youth was spent fishing, sailing and swimming the waters around Charleston, and she always loved to dance and ride bicycles.Martin has a family of two daughters, Ann and Paula, along with two grandsons, Paul and Andrew, and three great-grandchildren, Brittany, Catherine and Abigail.Martin said that her favorite part of hitting the milestone of 100 years was being able to enjoy the company of her friends and family, with musical performances and a wonderful spread of cake and candies.And as for her secret to a long life?"Enjoy every day as it comes," she said.
