The Domestic Violence Service Center wants to help those who need a little support.

The organization hosts a community support group for victims and survivors of domestic violence in the Carbon County area.Topic discussions include healthy relationships, how to move on from being in an abusive relationship and resources that are available to help victims/survivors. This is a way for victims to receive support not only from the counselor but also get additional support from people who are in similar situations.The center doesn't disclose the location, date or time of the support group due to confidentiality.If someone wants to attend but is uncertain, center staff can reassure them that everything is free and confidential and that they don't have to talk.Anyone wishing to attend the support group should call the hotline at 800-424-5600 or 570-823-7312.
