Celebrates 104 years

Helen Clouser Williams recently celebrated her 104th birthday. She was born on April 2, 1913, in Tamaqua. She was the oldest of nine children born to David and Bertha Clouser. She has two siblings, a brother, Robert, who lives in Tennessee, and a sister, Marlene, who lives in Maryland.

Helen married Horace Williams in 1929 and they had three children: Jean Fisher, Lydia Rowan and Russel Williams. She also has six grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren.After working for many years at Saylor's Bakery in Hometown, Horace and Helen moved to New Jersey, where they lived first in Union for many years, and then after returning, moved to Whiting, New Jersey. She particularly enjoyed these years as she became involved in the activities of the clubs and joined them in many of their trips as well as their social activities.Helen loved knitting and quilting. She loved going to Atlantic City.She loved being active and always remembers Pennsylvania as the beginning of her roots. She always put family first.
