A Tamaqua man has been charged in connection with a domestic assault on Tuesday.

Police were called to 401 Pine St., at 6 p.m. where they spoke with the female victim. She said she had been attacked by Tedd Richard Fredericks, 44, of 325 Washington St.The victim had a cut on the back of her hand, a bloody lip and a lump on her head, which she said was caused by Fredericks picking her up and slamming her to the ground. She was treated at the scene by ambulance personnel.Fredericks is being charged with simple assault, harassment and criminal mischief.
