Mahoning Township Police report the following incidents:

• At 4:30 p.m. March 13, a resident of the 1300 block of Mahoning Drive East reported a .45 caliber Springfield semi-auto handgun stolen from his vehicle.• At 12:26 p.m. March 16, a resident of the 700 block of North First Street reported he was being harassed by phone.• At 11:53 p.m. March 16, a resident of the 2200 block of Mahoning Drive West reported harassment.• On March 17, police received notification from Lehigh Valley Hospital that a man had accidentally shot himself in the hand in the Walmart parking lot.• At 1:30 a.m. March 19, a resident of the 700 block of Upper Nis Hollow Drive reported his residence had been shot.• On March 18, two homes in the area were shot multiple times with a rifle. Several of the shots entered the home causing damage. Anyone with information should call 570-325-9111.• On March 20, police received a report of a hit-and-run on March 14 in the Walmart parking lot. The owner of a Jeep Patriot reported it was damaged on the driver and passenger side.• On March 21, police received a report of a hit-and-run on March 20 in the Walmart parking lot. The owner of a Honda Accord reported it was damaged while parked in a handicapped space.• On March 21, a resident of the 1600 block of Mahoning Drive East reported a chain saw stolen from their garage. On March 23, the resident reported four checks had been stolen from a checkbook.• At 6:27 p.m. March 22, police investigated a reported hit and runat a residence on Fredericks Grove Road. A vehicle parked at the home had damage to the passenger side back door. Anyone with information is asked to contact police.• At 7:25 p.m. March 22, counterfeit currency was used at Walmart to purchase over $900 in merchandise. Police are looking to identify a woman for questioning.• At 8:02 p.m. March 22, police investigated an assault at the Gnaden Huetten emergency room. The victim reported he was assaulted behind McDonald's at around 5 p.m. by two men who were harassing and touching his girlfriend. Police are attempting to identify the other people involved.
