Summit Hill couple charged with simple assault

A Summit Hill couple have been charged after they fought with a woman while she was cleaning snow off her vehicle.

Donavan Green, 22, and Rebecca Wilder, 19, both of Lansford Court, were charged with simple assault and harassment after police were called to the Lansford Courts for a fight in progress.According to the affidavit, Summit Hill police were dispatched to the Lansford Courts at 8:46 p.m. March 14.Upon arrival, they spoke with the victim, who was on the couch crying and holding an ice pack to her left eye. She also had blood around her mouth.The victim said she was cleaning snow off her car when she was verbally harassed by Wilder and Green.Green then called the woman names and tried to burn her in the face with a cigarette.Wilder also lunged at the victim, causing both of them to fall and began punching her in the face.Green attempted to break the two apart by punching the victim in the face three times, the affidavit states.Neighbors were able to separate the three.Wilder admitted punching the victim in the face multiple times and Green said he was only trying to separate the two during the fight.Both Green and Wilder face preliminary hearings before District Judge Casimir Kosciolek of Lansford on April 19.
