The Jim Thorpe Police Department is investigating a case involving a skimming device that was placed on the ATM at the Jim Thorpe Neighborhood Bank at 12 Broadway in Jim Thorpe.

Skimming devices fit over the slot you insert your debit card into and use electronics to steal personal information stored on your card and record your PIN number.The surveillance camera on the ATM captured a man installing the skimmer Saturday morning.It is unsure if any information was compromised.The police are asking anyone with information or who can identify the suspect to contact the Jim Thorpe Police at 570-325-4995.
