4 facing counts in death of man found beaten down embankment

READING, Pa. (AP) - Four men are heading to trial in the beating and death of a man found at the bottom of an eastern Pennsylvania embankment.

The Reading Eagle (http://bit.ly/2o7NfYF ) reports that 21-year-old Kyle Adams was ordered held Tuesday in Berks County on first-degree murder and aggravated assault charges in the December death of 18-year-old Donavin Yenser.Nineteen-year-old Paul Cook Jr. faces similar charges. He and two other men facing assault counts waived hearings.Authorities allege that the four beat Yenser near Reading's Pagoda.Adams' attorney, Robert Kirwan II, said a co-defendant's testimony Tuesday showed that his client caused no life-threatening injuries and he was "very confident the murder charges will not be sustained." Cook's attorney, Allan Sodomsky, said further evidence would show what he called the "limited participation" of his client.
