The Animal Shelter of Carbon will host a paint and sip event this Friday at the Love 4 Art Studio in Lehighton.

The event is a fundraiser to benefit a disabled woman from Andreas who is in need of a service dog. It will run from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. at the studio, located at 185 Interchange Road.The woman's service dog recently passed away and the organization is trying to help provide funding for a certified service dog, so she can remain active and have a better quality of life.Shop owner and artist Tammy Leaver will help guide novices through painting their own creation with step-by-step instruction. The cost for the event is $45 and registration is required. Participants are also welcome to bring a beverage that they would like to sip while painting."Please come out and support a great cause to help Kelly," said Donna Crum, the organizer of the project.
