Steigerwalt pitches four scoreless innings in relief to earn the pitching win. He also collects a double and triple, and drives in three runs. The Blue Raiders, coached by Bob Livingston, receive a pair of hits from Kevin Krell, while Ed Eroh adds a double and run scored. With the score tied in the sixth inning, Shawn Blickley walks and eventually scores the winning run on a passed ball. For the Panthers, Brian Kane and Randy Thear both finish with a pair of hits.
