March 27, 2008 - Corey Cinicola pitches five strong innings to help Jim Thorpe post a 6-1 victory over Mahanoy Area. Cinicola allows just one hit and no runs during his time on the mound. He strikes out 10 batters and walks four. Jake Zurn supplies the offense with two hits, one a double, two RBIs and a pair of runs scored. The Olympians, coached by Kenny Eck, jump out to an early lead by scoring two runs in each of the first two innings. Tony Taptich contributes to the win with a hit and two RBIs.
