A traffic stop along Route 903 in Penn Forest Township, Carbon County, has led to the arrest of the driver and passenger.

State police at Fern Ridge said a 2012 Chevrolet Equinox was stopped at 10:47 p.m. Sunday northbound for several traffic violations.The driver, Nicholas Robert Acker, 20, of 96 Wild Creek Drive, Jim Thorpe, was found to be driving under the influence of a controlled substance and was placed under arrest. His passenger, Cameron George Dickson, 19, of 12 Hawk Lane, Jim Thorpe, was found to be in possession of empty heroin packets and hypodermic needles.Charges have been filed, troopers said.
