A number of defendants scheduled for preliminary hearings before District Judge Stephen Bayer, of Tamaqua, on Feb. 21 elected to have their charges waived directly to Schuylkill County court.

Elizabeth Fuentes, 22, of Tamaqua, is facing felony charges of theft by deception and receiving stolen property. The charges were in connection with an Oct. 22incident.Fuentes is currently free on $10,000 unsecured bail.Joseph Nicholas Kamant, 24, of Tamaqua, faces charges of making terroristic threats, simple assault and harassment. A charge of endangering the welfare of children was withdrawn. The charges were in connection with a Feb. 10 incident.Kamant was released on $5,000 unsecured bail.Anthony Louis Kehl, 46, of Tamaqua, faces charges of use/possession of drug paraphernalia in connection with a Dec. 3incident.Kehl was released on his own recognizance.Joshua Fredericks, 32, of Lansford, faces charges of driving under the influence of alcohol and disregarding a traffic lane. The charges were in connection with a Dec. 9incident.Fredericks was released on his own recognizance.Patrick Gilhool, 38, of Lansford, faces charges of use/possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a small amount of marijuana, and possession of a controlled substance. The charges were in connection with a Dec. 2incident.Gilhool was released on his own recognizance.Kevin Wayne Black,19, of McAdoo, faces one charge of attempted forgery, a felony, and one count of attempted theft by deception. The alleged incident occurred Nov. 4.Black was released on $25,000 unsecured bail.Alexia Mary Vajda, 20, of Hazle Township, faces felony charges of conspiring to burglarize a dwelling in Kline Township. The alleged incident occurred Nov. 21.Vajda is free on $10,000 unsecured bail.Matthew H. Wersinger, 19, of McAdoo, faces charges of marijuana possession and drug paraphernalia possession in connection with a Jan. 6incident.Wersinger was released on his own recognizance.Jessica Eastridge, 23, of McAdoo, faces a charge of harassment for communicating repeatedly and at inconvenient hours. The charges were in connection with a Nov. 7incident.Eastridge was released on his own recognizance.Shared Darryl Parker, 31, of McAdoo, faces charges of theft from a motor vehicle, receiving stolen property, and loitering and prowling. The charges were in connection with a Feb. 9 incident.Parker was released on his own recognizance.Thomas Jonas Ohazzo, 19, of McAdoo, faces charges of possessing marijuana and drug paraphernalia. The charges were in connection with a Dec. 4incident.Ohazzo was released on $5,000 unsecured bail.Alexander Elchisak, 18, of McAdoo, faces charges of possessing marijuana and drug paraphernalia. The charges were in connection with a Feb. 1 incident.Elchisak was released on his own recognizance.Ryan Michael Swanzy, 18, of McAdoo, faces charges of driving under the influence and possession of drug paraphernalia. The charges were in connection with an Dec. 3 incident.Swanzy was released on his own recognizance.
