A Luzerne County driver was cited following a one-vehicle crash that occurred at 10:50 p.m. on Saturday along Route 1005 in East Union Township, Schuylkill County.

State police at Frackville said Julio A. Adames, 51, of Hazle Township, was driving a 2008 Subaru Tribeca southbound on Route 924 and turned onto 1005 when his vehicle went onto the berm and struck a speed sign. Troopers said Adames claimed a bear ran across the road in front of him.Adames was not injured.
