Carbon County's retirement fund is continuing to perform well during the first quarter of 2017.

On Thursday, Robert Crampsie, county controller and secretary to the retirement board, told the board that for the month of February, the retirement fund portfolio increased by about $1 million to $73,000,822.He said that was after paying out a total of $718,071 in disbursements between monthly benefits and reimbursing the general fund for 2016 retirement expenses."February was a really great month performance-wise," he said.- Amy Miller, reporter
