Along with the many other problems caused by the recent winter weather was the collapse of the deck at the Molly Maguires Pub and Steakhouse in downtown Jim Thorpe as a result of the weight of the heavy snowfall that the area experienced during Tuesday’s snowstorm.

The owners of the deck, the Behan family, have been in touch with their insurance carrier and plans are already in the works to rebuild the facility. With a hopeful target date for completion of about May 1 to the 14, the work will be undertaken by Terry’s Decks of Lehighton and Kaplan Awnings of Easton. VICTOR IZZO/SPECIAL TO THE TIMES NEWS
