A 56-year-old woman from Cresco is facing charges of driving under the influence of drugs.

The woman, whose name was not released, was stopped for Motor Vehicle Code violations at 4:35

p.m.Sunday at the intersection of Route 209 and Mill Pond Road in Polk Township.State police at Lehighton said the woman showed signs of impairment and was taken to the Monroe County DUI Center for processing.The charges are pending the result of toxicology tests.
