The execution of a search warrant by the Scranton DEA Task Force and the Pocono Mountain Regional Police resulted in the seizure of 46 kilograms of cocaine in Blakeslee last month.

The police department said that the warrant covered a warehouse and tractor-trailer located at 111 Harry James Lane. The cocaine, worth $3.5 million on the street, was found in the trailer's frame on Feb. 8.Manuel Escarcega Jr., 29, of Purcell, Oklahoma, was taken into custody and charged with conspiracy to distribute a controlled substance and possession with intent to distribute a controlled substance. Escarcega remains in jail.
