The Jim Thorpe Area School Board on Monday night approved the following sports hires:

• Patrick Crowley was approved as a volunteer track coach.• Bobi Jo Lienhard was approved as an assistant softball coach with a salary of $1,785.• Johanna Tripler was approved as an assistant softball coach with a split salary of $1,030.• Shari Beers received a salary adjustment to $1,200 in her position as an assistant softball coach.• The board also approved the posting of an open position for a head boys' soccer coach.
