A hit-and-run driver is being sought in Schuylkill County.

State police at Frackville said the incident occurred around 9 a.m. on Monday along Route 61 in New Castle Township. Troopers said Sarah E. Dolan, 20, of Girardville, was driving a 2005 Chevrolet Malibu southbound in the left lane preparing to make a left turn. As she slowed down a vehicle behind her struck the rear of her vehicle. After impact the other driver continued south without stopping to exchange information. Dolan and her passenger, Magdalena K. Callahan, 20, of Aristes, were not injured.The hit-and-run vehicle was described as an older model Chevrolet Tahoe, dark in color - possibly black, having damage to the left front headlight, hood, bumper and fender. The vehicle also possibly has a gold running board or stripe along the left driver and passenger doors.Anyone with information concerning this incident is asked to call troopers at 570-874-5300.
