Fire crews battled a two-alarm dwelling fire in Nesquehoning early this morning.

The call came in around 2 a.m. for a home on the unit block of East High Street.

Crews from around the area, including Nesquehoning, Hauto and New Columbus, as well as Tamaqua, Jim Thorpe, Lansford, Beaver Meadows and more responded to the scene.

A fire crew was called back to the residence just after 8 a.m. after a neighbor reportedly saw smoke coming from the rear of the structure again.
