March 13, 1966 - A pair of Panther Valley CYO all-star teams post wins over squads from McAdoo and Mahanoy Area in a doubleheader at Marian High School. Walt Schlenner tallies 24 points to help the PV East club roll to a 93-46 victory over McAdoo. Dan McGinley contributes 21 points, while Bernie Gillespie finishes with 19 points. The winners also receive 18 from Dave Hodor. PV West uses a 24-point effort from Gene Zubey to gain a 55-49 win over Mahanoy Area. Joe Baddick adds 15 points to the winning effort.
