Lansford police arrested Joseph Becker Jr. at about 12:50 p.m. Sunday.
Police were in an area known as a high drug use and sales area. Officers stopped a suspicious vehicle and found that the front passenger, 18-year-old Joseph Becker Jr., was in possession of packaging material, a scale and three separate controlled substances: pills, meth and heroin, all packaged separately. While attempting to arrest Becker, he struggled with officers and briefly escaped.
He was charged with possession with Intent to deliver controlled substances, escape, possession of controlled substance(s), possession of drug paraphernalia, resisting arrest, and possession of an offensive weapon.
He was arraigned and jailed in the Carbon County Correctional Facility under $10,000 straight cash bail.
