The Schuylkill County Youth Summit, scheduled for today at Penn State Schuylkill, has been postponed due to the weather conditions and delayed starts at several area school districts. The Youth Summit, which brings together area high school students in a forum to exchange ideas and develops projects to improve Schuylkill County, is rescheduled for Monday at Penn State Schuylkill.

A weather advisory remains in effect for 3 to 6 inches of snow.

Snow has remained north of I-80 overnight but will progress southward across the region before sunrise. The snow

may be moderate to heavy at times between 5 and 9 AM, which coincides with the morning commute.

Snowfall rates may exceed one inch per hour during this time. Snow will become lighter during the mid morning and gradually taper off by midday.

Snow squalls are expected this afternoon and evening.
