Seven students from the Marian Catholic and Nativity BVM High Schools bands successfully auditioned to perform in the 42nd Annual Schuylkill County Band Festival, which was held March 4 at Blue Mountain High School. The 118-member band, under the direction of award-winning composer and conductor Brian Balmages, included students from Schuylkill County's 13 public and parochial schools and performed a variety of selections by American and international composers. Participants and the instruments they play, are: Benjamin Furko, piano; Zoryana Duda, trombone; Patrick Stone, trombone; Colleen Gallagher, flute; E.J.
