One person died as a result of a house fire in Schuylkill County Sunday night.

Police were withholding the name of the 76-year-old victim Wednesday, pending notification of next of kin.Firefighters were called to a home located at 72 Main St. in the Klingerstown area of Upper Mahantongo Township.According to state police at Frackville, the fire broke out in the first-floor living room of the home.The dwelling was gutted by flames with damages in excess of $75,000.No other injuries were reported.Klingerstown, Pillow and Sacramento fire officials assisted with the investigation.
