A vehicle stop along Interstate 80 in Tobyhanna Township, Monroe County, became an "unlucky" stop for an Ohio driver.

State police at Fern Ridge stopped Sean Jamel Lucky, 47, of Newton Falls, at 11:47 a.m. Feb. 23 in the westbound lanes for a traffic violation. Troopers detected indicators of criminal activity and requested a consent search of the vehicle, which Lucky first denied. A K-9 unit was then called to the scene.While the K-9 unit was en route Lucky signed a consent search of the vehicle. A search was conducted with K-9 Micho, and found was a small amount of marijuana and related drug paraphernalia.Charges have been filed.
