State police at Fern Ridge are investigating a burglary at a Carbon County residence in which an item was taken by one person and later returned by another. The unusual incident occurred at a residence along Iowa Road in Albrightsville, Penn Forest Township.

Troopers said the home was entered sometime between midnight and 1:59 p.m. on Feb. 27. A stereo was removed by one person and later returned by another person. The two suspects intentionally damaged the interior of the home before fleeing, troopers added.The investigation is ongoing and troopers are not releasing the names of the two suspects until charges have been filed. The victim is listed as a 52-year-old woman.
