Palmerton Police Department reports the following incidents:

Theft by unlawful taking:William Hartzell, 58, of Palmerton, was charged with theft by unlawful taking, receiving stolen property, loitering and prowling at night and defiant trespass for an incident Jan. 23 in the 500 block of Delaware Avenue.DUI:Richard Viands II, 23, of Lehighton, was charged with three counts of DUI, careless driving and windshield obstructions, for an incident Dec. 27, 2016, in the 300 block of Delaware Avenue.April Rehrig, 31, of Lehighton, was charged with two counts of DUI and restrictions on alcoholic beverages, for an incident Jan. 21 in the 600 block of Franklin Avenue. Rehrig was also charged with institutional vandalism, for an incident Jan. 12 in the 600 block of Franklin Avenue.Vernon Fegley, 68, of Palmerton, was charged with two counts of DUI and careless driving, for an incident Jan. 28 in the 200 block of Delaware Avenue.Citations:Police also issued seven citations for traffic violations, four citations for maximum gross weight and two for speeding
