March 8, 2001 - Tamaqua's Erin Lehatto finishes in eighth place at the PIAA Class AA state diving championships at Penn State. Lehatto, the Schuylkill League champion and district runner-up, posts a score of 389.90. Teammate Arlene DeCindio, the district champ and league second-place finisher, takes 10th in the event with 370.85 points. The Blue Raiders also have a participant in the boys competition, as Schuylkill League champion Dan McDonald takes 12th place with a score of 284.70.
