Rap video leads to drug bust, guns seized

A rap video showing men flaunting drugs, guns and cash led to a drug bust in Monroe County last week.

Three people are facing felony charges as a result of the raid.The bust, a joint effort between local and county investigators, took place at a home in the A Pocono Country Place community on Thursday.According to Pocono Mountain Regional Police, officers obtained a warrant for a home on Long Pine Drive after identifying the location in a rap video.The video showed two men, identified as 25-year-old Bruce Tirado and 20-year-old Andrew Figueroa, both of Tobyhanna. In the video, police said, they had marijuana, large amounts of cash, handguns and an AR-15.Pocono Mountain police conducted the bust on Thursday, along with officers from the Monroe County Drug Task Force, and officials with the Monroe County District Attorney's Office.Tirado and a 21-year-old man, Ryan Navarro, who were both at the home at the time, were arrested on felony drug charges.Police said that inside the house, they found marijuana, heroin and marijuana oil, both in bulk and packaged for sale. They also recovered $28,000 in cash, seven handguns, and an AR-15.Tirado and Navarro were both charged with felony possession of heroin and marijuana, among lesser charges. Tirado also received a felony weapons charge because of a previous conviction that prevents him from possessing firearms. He is locked up on $75,000 bail, while Navarro's bail is $10,000.Figueroa turned himself into police on Monday after a warrant was issued for his arrest. He also was prohibited from possessing firearms, and was charged with a felony. Figueroa's bail was set at $50,000.
