State police at Lehighton
State police at Lehighton have reported on the following incidents.
• Cameron Mooney, 29, of Lehighton, has been charged by state police with simple assault and harassment as a result of an incident that happened on March 1 ata West Lizard Creek Road, East Penn Township, location. The victim is a 41-year-old woman. It is alleged Mooney and the victim were involved in a verbal argument that turned physical when Mooney pushed and punched the woman in the left side of her face. Police said he left the scene after the assault.• Police were summoned at 2:30 p.m. Feb. 24 to investigate an incident involving the unauthorized use of a motor vehicle in the 200 block of Koch Road in Towamensing Township. Police said the victim, a 41-year-old Kunkletown woman, reported a 38-year-old man from Kresgeville used her vehicle without having authorization to do so.• A 40-year-old woman from the 1300 block of Mountain Road in Polk Township is the victim of a fraud case being investigated by state police. Sometime between midnight June 16 and 1 p.m. Feb. 27 someone used the victim's Social Security information to open a phone account.• State police are investigating a burglary that happened between 2-4 p.m. Feb. 8 in the 3000 block of Mountain Road in Saylorsburg, Ross Township. The victim, a 70-year-old Saylorsburg woman, reported someone entered her residence and stole her purse.• Police said a burglary occurred between 8 p.m. Feb. 5 and 8 a.m. Feb. 6 in the 300 block of Shick Lane in Ross Township. The victim is a 75-year-old Saylorsburg woman who said someone entered her residence and broke several items.• State police were called to Weissport at 12:57 p.m. Feb. 7 to investigate a dog law violation. The incident happened in the 300 block of Bridge Street. The victim, a 48-year-old Weissport man, reported the violation, alleging the suspect to be a 48-year-old Weissport man.
