A Schuylkill County man was injured following a rear-end crash in Mahoning Township.

Township police investigated the incident that occurred at 5:16 p.m. Sunday on Route 443 West at Mill Road (the Normal Square traffic light).Police said the incident occurred when Andrew Schwartz, 47, of Pottsville, was driving westbound and began to stop for a red light when his Jeep was rear-ended by a 1998 Ford Windstar driven by Lori Wall, 78, of New Ringgold.Police said sun glare was a contributing factor.The occupants of the Ford refused medical treatment, while the occupants of the Jeep were transported by ambulance for medical treatment of injuries, police said.
