A stolen calf has been returned to the Altemose farm.

Owner Larry Altemose noticed the calf was missing around two and a half weeks ago. After thoroughly searching the property and discovering missing feed and unusual tracks, he determined it had been stolen.Altemose said in an earlier interview that the alleged thief most likely did not know how to care for a calf, as a nursed cow is unlikely to feed from a bottle. He initially doubted that the calf would survive without its mother.However, Altemose reported that the calf was safely returned as of Friday morning. No details on the identity of the thief have been released.
