Police have arrested a Northampton County man for possessing child pornography.

Sean T. Reichart, 32, was allegedly a member of a group that shared child pornography on the messaging service Kik.

The investigation was initiated by the FBI, who then passed it along to police in Lehigh Township, Northampton County.

Officers executed a search warrant at a home in the Treichlers section of Lehigh Township Thursday morning.

Reichart later admitted to downloading and viewing images of females less than 18 years old.

Reichart's Samsung Galaxy S 7 smartphone also contained images and videos of child pornography.

Reichart was charged with a single felony count of possessing child pornography.

He is currently locked up on $250,000 bail.

Police said that the investigation is still ongoing and more charges may be filed.
