Pl. Valley may sell building on Route 209

Pleasant Valley School District is considering an offer for its warehouse building on Route 209.

The district has been trying to sell the warehouse building on Route 209 in Polk Township since last year. There had been some interest in the building, but for a number of reasons none of them panned out.More recently the district listed the building with Robert Starrett of Re/Max Partners. Starrett said there has been renewed interest in the property."We are marketing the building for $600,000," Starrett said. "We do have an offer on the building that will be going before the school board for consideration."Both Starrett and Josh Krebs, director of support services for the district said that the offer is below the asking price, but is still a very strong offer."We just spent $126,000 on the roof," Krebs said. "It had to be done, there was no way around it."Starrett said the offer comes from an investor from New Jersey who plans on renting out the building for an allowable use. Starrett does not know if the investor has any particular tenant in mind at this time. The school board meets Thursday evening but it is not known if the offer will be on the agenda.
