Palmerton Area School District's board of directors meeting will be held at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday in the high school auditorium.

Meetings are normally held on the third floor of the Parkside Education Center.At January's board meeting, a large crowd packed the meeting room, with many residents commenting on the ongoing teachers contract negotiations between the district and the Palmerton Area Education Association.Palmerton teachers went on strike for two weeks earlier this year and last week the union agreed to non-binding arbitration.Also on Tuesday's agenda is a vote to add an all-day kindergarten program at Parkside and Towamensing Elementary School.Jarrad Hedes
