State police at Frackville are investigating a stabbing that occurred at a Schuylkill County motel.

Troopers said about 6:30 a.m. on Wednesday Pottsville city police were called to the Lehigh Valley Hospital - South Jackson Street campus, for a victim of a stabbing.The victim, a 30-year-old man from Baton Rouge, Louisiana, said the incident occurred at the Econo Lodge, located off Route 61 in West Mahanoy Township, just outside Frackville.Troopers located the alleged assailant, Jasper Dillon, 38, of Brandywine, Maryland, at the motel and took him into custody charging him with aggravated and simple assault and related offenses.He was arraigned before District Judge Christina Hale, of Frackville, and committed to the county prison in Pottsville after failing to post $100,000 straight cash bail.Taylor was treated and released. Troopers were assisted by police from Pottsville, Frackville and West Mahanoy Township.
