Carbon woman enters plea in assault

Jessica Marie Snisky, 21, of Nesquehoning, pleaded to one count of terroristic threats with a charge of simple assault dropped in a plea bargain in Carbon County court.

She was charged by Nesquehoning police for an incident on Christmas Day, Dec. 25, 2015, at her home at 233 E. Railroad St., with her mother, Patricia, the victim.Mousseau told the court his client was battling a drug addiction problem, which led to a dispute with her mother and the resulting charges.Since the incident she has addressed the drug issue. Her mother was present and told the court her daughter was doing better and had gone to a rehabilitation program and continues counseling.Matika placed her on probation for a year and ordered her to get a drug and alcohol evaluation and render 50 hours of community service.She was previously placed in the county's Accelerated Rehabilitation Disposition probation program but was revoked for violating conditions.
